VAN RACKING MERCEDES VITO
The Mercedes-Benz Vito is a light van produced by Mercedes-Benz in Vitoria, Spain. From the name of the city Vitoria came the name Vito. It is available as a standard panel van, or with additional passenger accommodation substituted for part or all of the load area. The first generation Mercedes-Benz Vito was produced between 1996 and 2003. The second generation Mercedes-Benz Vito is more streamlined than its predecessor, but more importantly is powered by a new range of engines and a rear-wheel drive (RWD) drive train. The newer Vito is available in 3 different lengths and 4 diesel engine versions being the 109 CDI, the 111 CDI, the 115 CDI (all powered by a 4 cylinder 2.2 liter engine) and the more powerful 120 CDI (featuring the 3.0 liter V6 unit). Load volumes range between 4.65 and 6.49 cubic meters. All models are available with gross vehicle weights of either 2,770 or 2,940 kg and payloads range from 855 to 1,025 kg. Vitos have the option of tailgate or conventional twin doors, which can either open to 180 degrees or 270 degrees. The sliding doors are big enough for standard Euro pallets to be loaded and the width between wheel arches – 1,277 mm – allows up to three Euro pallets to be loaded one behind another. There is also an extra load space beneath the front seats, provided of course that a full bulkhead is not fitted.
Van protection by Syncro New Zealand for Vito
From the wide selection offered by Syncro System New Zealand, the owner of this vehicle chose chequered-plate aluminum for the floor panel and bulkhead. For the walls and doors, he chose smooth aluminum paneling. The wheel arches covers are made of chequered-plate aluminum. The total effect is impressive because of its uniformity and clean lines. The floor panel is extremely non-slip, assuring safe movement within the cargo area.
