VAN RACKING HYUNDAI ILOAD
The Hyundai iLoad is a van built by the Hyundai Motor Company in South Korea and Indonesia. The 2nd-generation vehicle was introduced in 2007 with larger dimensions and much stronger CRDi engine than the first serie. The Hyundai iLoad in both van and crew van configuration is offered with the 129kW 2.4-litre petrol engine and five-speed manual transmission.
Clever optional twin-swing doors accept two fully laden pallets straight from a fork lift, whilst the standard single-piece tailgate lifts to create an awning allowing obstruction free loading from any side. Both solutions offer easy access to the cargo area which offers 2375 mm long, 1620 mm wide, 1350 mm high dimensions over a leaf sprung rear end giving a maximum 1.055 kg payload.
A spacious, usable area which could easily be fitted out with shelving or racks to suit almost any trade use imaginable.
For the compact Hyundai Iload, Syncro System New Zealand offers a wide range of interior paneling, guaranteeing long-term protection against the daily wear and tear that, as working van owners know, comes with the territory: bumps, denting, spilled liquids, etc. In the photo above, we installed the resin-coated marine plywood floor panel – similar to the special wood used for boats. It is extremely water resistant and durable. On the side walls, we mounted steel paneling – all pre-cut and pre-drilled to exact measurements for the Iload, which makes installation fast and easy.
Because of its small size, the Hyundai Iload really benefits from the modularity and versatility of the Syncro System racking equipment and accessories. Every last bit of space was used, and without weighing down the small Iload with heavy, space-wasting conversion equipment.
For this conversion, as seen in the photos above, the left-hand side of the Iload has two shelving units placed side by side, and two wheel arch bases (one open and one fitted with a front door panel). The owner can mount up to four shelves, which include metal dividers and rubber mats. Above that is another double shelf with removable plastic bins, and at the very top, we mounted our extra-long storage shelf.
On the right-hand side, the racking unit is unique. It consists of a wheel arch frame base, a series of sturdy metal drawers, two trays for service cases including the cases themselves, and two open shelves, one including removable plastic bins. A range of accessories completes the package - a hanging cable holder, first aid kit, pull-out vise base / worktop, metal service cases, neon ceiling lights.

Take a look at a great space-saving conversion for compact vans like this one customized for the Hyundai Iload. Syncro System New Zealand mounted a sub-floor board drawer unit. The extra-tough metal frame allows drawers to be inserted under the wooden floor panel; they are accessible from outside the van. In addition, on the left-hand side, we mounted two spacious shelving units. On the right-hand side, there is a wheel arch base frame with locking door panel, and a series of varied shelving.
