It’s undeniable: the vast majority of customers include at least one shelf in the setup of their commercial vehicle. Its popularity comes from practicality, simplicity, reliability, and versatility. Syncro’s system has further expanded the range of available configurations. As a horizontal component, the shelf can be installed individually or in a series, with identical or different types, at any height on the side panels. The variety is impressive: from basic models to open shelves, with or without dividers, equipped with pull-out drawers or cases, all the way to specialized versions like waterproof and fold-away shelves designed specifically for fast delivery services. Each unit can also be fitted with a door, offering added protection and improved organization inside the van.

Shelf with Non-Slip Coating and Dividers

The core unit of the Syncro catalog is the shelf, consisting of a horizontal steel tray with raised front and rear edges of equal height. A rear panel can be added to define the shelf’s vertical space and prevent items from falling behind the structure. This setup can hold between 1 and 12 aluminum dividers, optionally equipped with plastic inserts to reduce vibrations and noise during transport. The shelf base is always lined with a non-slip mat.

Open Shelves

The open shelf has a similar structure but with a low surrounding edge. This design allows it to be used with the edge facing either up or down. With the edge facing up, the addition of an adapter makes it an ideal housing for one or more cases, while a dedicated bracket allows for Euronorm containers. A tall version is also available, offering more capacity and lateral containment, with a rear wall and internal dividers 180 mm high.

By inverting the orientation—edge facing down—you get a flat surface with easy front access. Thanks to evenly spaced holes on the side panels, these shelves can also be installed at an angle, either upward or downward. The downward angle, especially at 6°, provides excellent containment for stored goods.

Shelves for Polypropylene Containers

Another variant is the shelf for polypropylene containers: these are shelves specifically designed to allow the user to easily insert and remove each container (with a locking system). The containers are highly functional due to their capacity and portability. The lower section of the structure is shaped to hold one or two plastic bins, each of which can be subdivided with a horizontal aluminum divider.

Closed Shelves

Each type of shelf described above—as well as any other horizontal Syncro element—can be turned into a closed unit by adding a door. Syncro System offers the following options:

  • Bottom-hinged door: Operates on parallelogram hinges, opening upward and resting parallel to the unit, taking up minimal space in the cargo area. A version with an integrated lock is also available for added security.

  • Flip-down door: This closure uses patented rotating-sliding hinges that move the door outward and downward, eventually resting perpendicular to the furniture, ensuring full access to the shelf.

  • Top-hinged door: Operates on gas spring hinges and swings upward when opened.

NEW! Waterproof Shelves for Liquid Transport

Transporting liquids in commercial vehicles is common: canisters containing fuel, oil, lubricants, cleaning agents, or other fluids needed for fieldwork are often carried. After solving the issue of securing canisters with custom frames and systems of straps, hooks, or bars, Syncro System now tackles the issue of leaks. The new watertight stainless steel shelves—available in various sizes and installable at any level in a shelving unit—prevent any spilled liquids from passing beyond the tray barrier. The tray, mounted with just a few front screws or knobs, can be easily removed for cleaning and just as easily repositioned.

NEW! Fold-Away Shelves

To meet a specific need, here’s a dedicated solution. Syncro System has designed this system for couriers who use their vans to transport parcels of varying and unpredictable sizes.

The new fold-away shelf system consists of a shelving unit with a metal frame and resin-coated wooden platform, attached to a rotating-sliding hinge via steel cables. It can be quickly opened or closed depending on the user’s needs. A rail is mounted on both the back of the shelf and the rear wall of the shelving unit, which can be used in combination with a strap (both supplied) to secure loads whether the shelves are open or closed.
